• BA Hons. Sociology, Durham University, 1973
• BA Fine Art, Leeds College of Art (due to complete 2010)

Courses and personal research have been undertaken at the University of Leeds’ Departments of Earth Sciences and Colour Chemistry, and at the Colour Museum in Bradford.
